Raised in Owosso as the youngest of 6, I moved at age 12 to Arizona with my parents. Continue to keep in touch, mostly with relatives in Owosso. Hi All, I would like to remind you to vote in tomorrow's elections. Democrats, remember that you must vote to get Engler out...the key is turnout, and if we get it we can still win. For Engler supporters, remember what he has done to the poor and the mentally insane. I realize Fieger has said some things he shouldn't have but ask yourself this if you question his religious beliefs: do you want a man who might mistakenly say something derogatory toward relgion, or do you want a man who betrays some basic tenets of Christianity, by hurting the poor and the helpless? Just some things for you all to think about tomorrow.

I was just browsing through the 1998 Directory to Michigan's Festivals and Events and noticed Railroad Days is not listed. Its a shame Durands Chamber of Comerce did not see to it that our town was represented. Our May festival gives Durand the opportunity to showcase itself and the surrounding community,and also gives other Michiganders the chance to participate in our Railroad Heritige and lore. I hope in the future our Chamber of Comerce will take every opportunity to promote itself and our town of Durand to the rest of Michigan.
